Children with a lot of potential but unable to score well in exams are often not able to adjust well in a high pressure exam oriented system. They may then suffer secondary emotional problems such as low - self esteem or aggressiveness. There are also children who are extermely talented in music, games, etc., who feel oppressed in a mainstream school. Such children need alternative learning methods with more activities and projects to cater to their learning styles.
