Prakriya will remain a comparatively small school - large systems have a tendency to become mechanised systems, compelling all members to function in standardised or uniform ways.

To remain an organic community, sensitive to the growth and well being of all members, Prakriya has / fosters:

A class size in Primary School of 15 and close relationships between teachers and children are actively fostered.

Teachers as facilitators who foster learning through themselves being life-long learners, and also nurture and value their own warmth, openness, enthusiasm and rigour.

A work system which is not authoritarian, where all teachers co-hold responsibility for the school and work collaboratively.

Approaches which include child-initiated activites which help to build children's sense of responsibility, thematic learning which help integrate the learning in various subjects, attempts to understand the relevance of Brain Science research for education etc.

Experiential learning through living processes in the school, field visits, conversations, being in touch with their immediate environment (not living a compartmentalised existence) exposure to various people etc.

Creation of a network of interested parents, educators, specialists, activists, neighbouring village schools and villagers and others (along with those who are involved on a continuous basis in the school) to form a rich and diverse community that would facilitate many meaningful and interesting learning situations.
